Social Business Day 2011
Social Business is a visionary concept from Professor Muhammad Yunus that connects the business world with the world of solving social problems. By bringing business concepts into the sector of solving social problems, Social Business allows social activities to be efficient and sustainable, so that the Social Business can continue its activities so long as the social problem remains. Social Business Day will be a day to celebrate the accomplishments so far, and to get inspired to become a social business entrepreneur or a social business supporter.
The theme for this year's event will be "Achieving the Millennium Development Goals through Social Business". As this concept is quickly spreading all around the world and is already changing lives in Bangladesh, we want to encourage people, companies and governments to think of Social Business as a sustainable way of achieving these goals.

During Social Business Day, people will be able to:

• Listen to Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus speak about Social Business and his vision for the future.
• Listen in on a panel of experts from different areas of expertise that will discuss why Social Business is an effective tool to achieve the Millennium Development Goals.
• Attend workshops and learn how to solve specific social problems through a social business model.
• Get to know how current social businesses are working, their achievements and challenges.
• Meet people who are passionate about Social Business.
